Community Christmas Celebration
On Sunday, December 18, 2011. First Church of Christ, Scientist, Edmonton opened its doors to the whole community for a celebration of Christmas music.

The hour-long event began with a short concert of familiar Christmas selections presented by sopranos Judith Richardson, Heather Maclean, and special guest, Linda Perillo, the church's soloist emeritus. They were accompanied by the church’s organist Kirk Kryvenchuk; Henri Gauci, flute; and Michael Kay, harmonica.

Following the concert everyone had a chance to request their favourite Christmas carols as the audience joined the performers for a carol sing-along.

"Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother;
And in His name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.
"
