Christmas Celebration |
|
On
Sunday, December 22, 2013 First Church of Christ, Scientist,
Edmonton once again welcomed the whole community to the
church's annual musical celebration of Christmas.
The
hour-long event began with a short concert of familiar
Christmas selections presented by the musicians of the
church, Judith Richardson & Heather
Maclean, sopranos and Kirk Kryvenchuk,
piano and organ. This year's musical guests were Rebecca
Schellenberg, violin; Michael Kay,
harmonica; Carolyn and John Lambert,
soprano and baritone; and baritone, Paul Cachia.
The First Church Vocal Ensemble also
performed.
Following
the concert everyone had a chance to request their favourite
carols as the audience joined the performers for a carol
sing-along. Refreshments were provided by members of the
church.
Below
is the program and two audio playlists from the event. |

bring Him incense, gold and myrrh,
Come peasant, king to own Him;
The King of kings salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him."
