Sunday, December 20, 2015 First Church of Christ, Scientist,
Edmonton welcomed the community to the church's annual
musical celebration of Christmas.
The
hour-long event began with a short concert of familiar
Christmas selections presented by the musicians of the
church, Judith Richardson and Heather
Maclean, sopranos and Kirk Kryvenchuk,
piano and organ. This year's musical guests are
Amity Mitchell, flute ; Michael
Kay, harmonica; Carolyn and
John Lambert, soprano and baritone; Paul
Cachia, baritone; and Olivia and
Gabrielle Pedersen, trebles. The First
Church Vocal Ensemble also performed.
Following
the concert everyone had a chance to request their favorite
carols as the audience joined the performers for a carol
sing-along. Refreshments were served before and after
the event. |
